Why do we incarnate?
Since the beginning, humanity has been wrestling with who we are and why we come here. These are age-old questions with answers that are simpler than man-fabricated ideologies. Why is this important? For starters, understanding the reason for living on this planet can simplify your life. Also, you can learn to stop unnecessarily falling into all those rabbit holes.
Some things may seem difficult initially, but the sooner you understand who you are and why you’re here, the easier earth life becomes. One, Earth is not our natural home. Earth is not the actual reality. Have you ever sat and theorized about why we incarnate? Most people have some form of reason in their minds that perhaps they were taught, but not too many really sit and contemplate why we do come here, and Darwinism doesn’t quite answer it either. We do evolve and still are but there is reasoning behind why we choose to incarnate.
Our spirit world home is our natural home, bringing us to the second point: Earth is more of a school for souls than anything else. Our human form, albeit a temporary one, is more of an avatar, but humans tend to cling to the earth things mentioned here as if that’s all there is, but they are not.
Why would we even want to come here?
We come here to grow our consciousness, experience, and develop. Don’t overthink what I’m about to tell you because it isn’t necessary, and simplicity is one of the objectives. Relax with this and learn to enjoy life. What is life’s one actual consonant or common denominator? I am asking you to think about this. Essentially, soul growth is the reason for incarnating; however, to be happy is right up there. You probably won’t have one without the other. Finding genuine and lasting happiness is a massive part of our quest here on earth, and if you did nothing but be happy, you would have a great incarnation. I also like to write about ways to find, have, and maintain that happiness. So, this is a short blog post trying to put more significant concepts in a brief narrative. I mention this only so that you know that I know there’s more to this.
Each soul comes here with an individualized and tailored task list or agenda designed for this life. It intends to accomplish what it can in this life, barring getting too lazy to impair its progress. However, we must achieve this mission with the human side factored in the mix and without knowing what the task list or agenda includes. This is challenging, mainly if you aren’t even aware of an agenda or list of things to accomplish. This brings into focus the question of how we know what is on that list. There is a way if you’re dedicated to figuring it out.
Our soul has a mission.
To understand your soul’s mission while incarnate, you will need a lot of patience to think in new and more profound ways, learn to monitor your thinking and emotions and combine all this with much practice. You will begin to grasp this mission. Don’t worry; there are clues to help you solve this puzzle, and those clues are already within you. I feel that getting the mission is part of a step in the mission; if not, the mere attempt can be relative to your evolution. You will have to meet yourself, your soul, and your journeying is an inner one going through self and out the other side to me, you, your soul.
When you consider why we came here (incarnate), please realize that this question is a vast and deep subject that I’ll devote more details to answering in future posts. For now, I wanted to begin considering it, which may or may not be new ideas for you.
Why we incarnate has been widely misunderstood.
If you read as much spiritual-based text as I do, you will undoubtedly come across many explanations of why we incarnate. Here are some examples: to grow, learn, and evolve, to heal our karma, to help the planet, and to heal injuries from past lives (this can be tucked in under karmic healing or just past life resolution.) Those are just a few samples of why we incarnate or reincarnate. I struggled for many years to unravel this mystery because I could not satisfactorily figure out why we must incarnate to do any of this or why we couldn’t just stay home (The Other Side, meaning the spirit world) and accomplish the same thing.
Ultimately, my analysis came down to heuristic learning, which means we must experience doing or being to learn. The examples above are not wrong. They didn’t quite explain why we must undergo this experiential learning to evolve. I will come to this momentarily because the answer must be believable to accept it. There are exceptions; souls voluntarily come here to help others and the planet. Some get stuck in the karmic wheel, and breaking from that is essential if you’re in it. When you think breaking that karmic cycle should be a top priority if you’re stuck in it, but I’m off-topic a little, we’ll come back to that one in a future post.
There is one underlying theme.
Why would you think that it is essential for this heuristic learning or learning by doing? We can’t get the natural experiential feel of it all any other way. We can’t evolve as a part of God by not doing otherwise. That was where I couldn’t get beyond until one day it clicked, and we, as well as God, evolved along with the Universe and everything it. Do you think humans have reached their final evolutionary state? No way. Have the continents stopped evolving and shifting, and is Earth in its final state? No.
This fits into the many reasons you should find and follow your purpose. Being happy is one of the best things you can do for yourself, as Beyond Want: Finding Peace Now explains. And one cannot be as pleased as possible without finding and following their purpose. There’s more to come. If you focus on being happy all the rest will fall into place.
Why We Incarnate Part Two
In this post, I want to talk about clearing karma and getting the lesson. I will slightly depart from the traditional list of reasons we may incarnate, which are all good and acceptable. Still, it seems that one can get distracted by too much information and the quest to find one’s purpose and enjoy the journey. My goal is to help you to break things down into their lowest common denominator. Because there are only a few things we need to solve in the equation and let the rest fall into place, one can get overwhelmed in the maze of all the metaphysical teachings out there, but it can be simplified without the confusion, or so that is my aim.
Clearing or avoiding any development of new negative karma should be higher up on the to-do list than people may think of it because you can get stuck reincarnating and repeating the same type of life over and over until you learn the required lessons and advance. You do not get to move up until you complete the necessary lessons, for lack of a better term, and your karma is cleared—sorry. Now, I am talking about our spirit life, our actual life.
I will shift to talking about the lesson; I am working on a whole other project dealing with karma, so we will hold off on that until later. But realize for now that it’s all tied together. We hear this phrase, “Get the lesson,” but we do not take it to the level of depth that maybe we should. We may worry about finding our life’s purpose and miss the lesson. What are the lessons; everything you encounter and experience comes under the lessons category in your life. Every unpleasant feeling you have is trying to tell you to look at the lesson and what you are to get or overcome on your own. All feelings are part of the experience within the lesson to be solved. We may or may not get the entire lesson in one life, and that is part of why we can get stuck coming back to see how this relates to that karmic wheel. We may choose to numb our feelings and emotions through alcohol or drugs, but that only defers the lesson until, well, as long as it takes in whatever lifetime we choose to work through our issues.
When you have negative thoughts (anything negative: hate, envy, judgment, and so on) regarding anything or anyone, there is a fragment of a lesson opportunity yearning to be solved. Any problem, situation, relationship difficulty, and all else you can imagine are pieces of your life’s lesson to be solved when you are here. Why do I write about this? So we don’t have to keep returning to get the same lessons repeatedly. If you get as many lessons as you can in this life, you won’t have to repeat them in this life or another. Yes, you may come back and get new lessons, but you won’t have to repeat the ones you’ve previously solved or will solve. I hope this has added some new meaning to the phrase if you “get the lesson, you won’t need the experience anymore.” Think about it. Wouldn’t that be grand?
Here’s the hard part: conditioning yourself to monitor what’s going on within. A lot of what I write revolves around this principle because, in the end, you can be as happy as you want to be. Being happy is tied to getting the lesson, clearing karma, attracting what you desire, and much more. I feel I have to sell or persuade people to be happy. It shouldn’t be that way; people should want to be satisfied, and maybe they don’t know how to, or once you give them some steps to get started, they often choose to return to their old remedies and habits. And here is the caveat: people are too lazy to do the inner work, and that may sound frank, but observe and ask the question, why aren’t we as happy as we could be? People want a quick answer, but there isn’t one. I want everyone to be satisfied, as does God. Still, we have a few takeaways: earth is a school in which you must complete your designed curriculum, and we all desire and reach for happiness, but there is work to be done there; happiness isn’t just going to blanket you overnight, and here is why I talk about laziness people would instead hand over their attention to some distracting electrical thing or addiction rather than find the fundamental truths and enjoy this time given for this incarnation.
When I say search your inner being to solve the lesson, I mean going deep and looking for and discovering what you need to resolve in this life. Look at all the pains, hurts, discomforting thoughts, self-doubt, fears, and everything else that has ever caused you distress in any form; going back to your earliest memories one layer at a time, and as you do, things will bubble to the surface. These are clues to your life lessons to be learned and solved here. This doesn’t apply to everyone because not everyone has reached a state of being anywhere near ready to advance, but they aren’t reading this anyway. I bring it up so you don’t get your expectations too high for the world.
Suppose you can condition yourself to look at every event, condition, feeling, mood, or emotion as part of the lesson and ask yourself what I am to learn consistently. In that case, you will start forming the knowledge of how you will advance. Books and people can only take you so far; you must do the inner work yourself. See how that works? You can’t expect people to give you the complete answer. They may be able to show you the door, as I am trying to do here, but you must step through it on your own.
There is more to the answer than laziness, but it starts there. I’ll address that at another time. And here is the point: if you are not completely happy and satisfied with your life right now, consider a mental mind shift. Yes, it takes making a decision, some mental work, and then following through, but it is all doable. Thanks for reading, and in the spirit of brevity, I’ll stop here.
Why We Come Here Part Three
Suppose you haven’t read the first two parts on this topic. In that case, you may want to because I am going to branch out from here, after writing this part, into talking about awakening, enlightenment, getting the lessons you came here to complete, and other terms we hear often but have difficulty forming clear ideas about how those terms relate to us.
Earlier in life, when I first had the slightest idea that I wanted to write anything worthy of publishing, all that I could imagine that I wanted to write about was solving for the most important things to humanity and the individual, and herein is where this and the next few posts become essential readings for the advancing soul. For some of us, the questions drive us. That was long ago (okay, four decades), and the world has grown more complex and challenging. The ideas I first perceived as necessary are more so today. My experiences, abilities, and knowledge had to catch up, hence the long delay. All in Divine timing.
Breaking it down
To wrap up this post, I will yell out the answers, but realize this is dangerous because if you have answers, will you still apply them going forward? And this is why I write. You can learn to liberate your mind, improve your self-esteem, and empower yourself. Even when we know the answers, we still need assistance occasionally. It’s rather like overeating and weight control; we may know the answers, but making them work takes a lot of will and action behind the knowledge to be productive. Knowledge is only power if you apply it wisely.
Here are our answers to why we incarnate most simply, using the best economy with words I can. So, heed the warning in the preceding paragraph and know that more shall follow.
Here are the three top reasons we incarnate with a brief explanation:
- Love (underlying common denominator to everything;) seeking and finding the purest love imaginable and even beyond that is at the top. There is so much more to understanding this than I will put in this post. This area alone deserves its book, but few would read it because the world isn’t quite ready for those answers. But know God is love, and love is God, which is a good starting point to begin imagining this type of love I am referring to.
- Happiness: finding, being, and remaining happy is a very close second; this area is more important than most realize. We all want it, but most of us run around chasing our tail, trying to find happiness without ever really doing so. There are ways to practice being and not obtaining real happiness.
- Get the lessons: This is another significant topic worthy of its book. When we come here, we learn, but most don’t look at life that way. One key point, and I’ll get more into this in the next section, is everything, and I do mean everything in our life, is a part of the lesson, and the sooner you accept this, the easier things external to you become to get. Instead, they look at the downside of each event. And they will keep having the same experiences over and over life after life until they look at and get the lesson. Everything that happens to us in Earth school is a part of a lesson. The more lessons you can call and check off in this life, the less you must contend with in other lifetimes. Because when we incarnate, we pick up where we left off in the last life. To the soul, it is one continuous timeline. So, I want to get as many lessons out of the way as I can, clean up any karma messes, and thus graduate.
Here’s the thing.
If you’ve read this far, I’m glad I’ve saved some of the best for last. Now, this page is not an end-all and be-all about why we incarnate because I have spent many years delving into this. Remember, this is a deep subject, and I am only giving you the highlights for brevity’s sake. So, hopefully, your research doesn’t end here.
In the last bullet statement above, I mentioned that getting the lesson is essential to advance more rapidly as we understand time. To the soul, time doesn’t exist; however, here’s the motive: if you, the soul, advance more rapidly, you will graduate out of the need to incarnate anymore, thus avoiding the need to come back. As you may have guessed, many people walking the planet today need hundreds of lifetimes to get it. So let us talk about the lesson.
Finding Heaven on Earth
You’ve undoubtedly heard the expression “heaven on earth,” and maybe it means something to you. But there is a different level to this age-old phrase that is on earth now. If you are interested in hearing more about this, then check back or sign up for updates.
